Robotics Club
Our elementary students have the opportunity to explore the exciting world of robotics! Our Robotics Club takes place two days per week after school and is led by our very own Esperanza Elementary Teachers. They turn the classroom into a technology lab while they learn about engineering and programming. Students work in teams to program their own Lego WeDo robots, Snap Circuits, Ozobots, and Dash & Dot projects to complete a variety of design challenges.
Chess Club
Chess Club takes place after school and provides students the opportunity to engage with their peers while enhancing their decision-making skills. Chess has been linked to increased academic achievement, increased patience and self-control in children. In addition to weekly clubs, the Elementary Chess Team also participates in chess tournaments which allow the children to gain a deeper understanding of the game and celebrate the team’s accomplishments.
The Elementary Team earned 1st Place School Team at the 19-20 Checkmate Violence Tournament!
