Brandon Santana and Raynel Lopez Perform Their Rap Live

The video below captures the incredible opportunity for Brandon Santana and Raynel Lopez when they performed their rap in front of a live audience at the Forrest Theatre. On Thursday, November 7th, Esperanza high school students visited the Forrest Theatre to see Hamilton, the must-see show that has swept the nation. Our students joined 36 other high schools to meet the cast, get a behind-the-scenes look of the production, and even perform on stage all as part of the #EduHam program. Santana and Lopez had submitted their rap prior to the trip and were one of 15 selected groups. They wrote their rap about Haym Salomon, a financial contributor to the American Revolution.

“The Notebook,” wrote an article highlighting the performance of our amazing Esperanza students. Click the link here to read more about that incredible day.

We also want to thank the #EduHam Program, Hamilton Family Charitable Trust, Chappell Culpeper Family Foundation, and the Rosenthal Family Foundation who generously paid for the majority of the tickets. This allowed our students to attend for a ticket price of only $10. Thank you so much!
