Meet Xiomara, an EACS alumna from the Class of 2012! Xiomara continued her education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. She started her own business, XS Multi Services LLC, where she provides career development, event planning, grant writing, and brand development services. She also currently serves as a Constituent Service Representative on Councilwoman Quetcy Lozada’s team.
Xiomara is deeply committed to serving her community and embraces opportunities to make a difference. She shared, “When it comes to my community and service, I’m always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it’s sharing knowledge, offering resources, or simply being there for others.” Her dedication is reflected in her work on the boards and committees of several local organizations, such as HACE, LULAC, La Liga del Barrio, and The Sixers Youth Foundation, among others.
Reflecting on her time at Esperanza, both as a student and later as an employee at the Cyber School, Xiomara shared how her experience here helped lay the foundation for where she is today: “My time at Esperanza prepared me for life after high school in many ways, including job readiness, community service, and advocacy. Esperanza taught me how and when to speak up for myself and others around me, how to fight for social injustices, and how to be true to myself no matter what room I walk or sit in. It prepared me for college in many ways, including providing me with scholarships, tuition assistance, and FAFSA filing. Because of the wonderful college counselors I had, I am knowledgeable and able to help family and friends in specific areas.”
Now, coming full circle, Xiomara is an Esperanza Academy parent with twin daughters in our elementary school. Reflecting on her journey, she shared this advice for current students: “Reach for the stars and go beyond the horizon. Chase your dreams until you catch them and never give up! The sky is the limit. Never let your past dictate your future because we are only meant to grow and learn from those experiences. You can be anything you want in this world, believe me!”
We are so proud of how Xiomara has chased her dreams, and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!
