Alumni Spotlight: Julia Mia Ramos

Alumni Spotlight, News

Meet Julia Mia Ramos, a proud graduate of the Class of 2022! After graduating from high school, Julia attended Holy Family University, where she majored in nursing, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and recently obtained her nursing license. Now, she is beginning her career as a nurse on the Pulmonary Unit at Temple University Hospital’s Main Campus.

Julia is no stranger to wearing many hats. While at EACS, she was enrolled in several AP and Honors courses, which she recalls prepared her for college assignments. During her college years, her schedule was very busy as she juggled studying, clinicals, nursing externships, and working as a Per Diem Nurse Assistant on the Oncology floor at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Reflecting on how EACS prepared her for college, she shared, “I felt like I was already used to it, so I wasn’t truly drowning in countless tasks and assignments.”

Her advice to current students is, “Do what you love and what catches your interest! It doesn’t feel like work if it’s something you truly want to do. Being able to love your work and your lifestyle makes the hard work and dedication completely worth it.”

We love seeing our EACS alumni serve the community around them. Thank you, Julia, for making a difference as a frontline worker. We can’t wait to see your journey unfold throughout the years!
