Since graduating from EACS, my journey has been a powerful mix of discipline, discovery, and dreams turned reality. I moved to New York, earned my degree from NYU, and have had the honor of dancing with Alvin Ailey II. One of my proudest moments? Understudying the role of Simba in The Lion King—a full-circle moment that reminded me how far I’ve come.
I also founded Beyond Belief Dance Academy, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young artists through movement and mentorship. And in embracing every layer of who I am, I introduced the world to my drag persona, Celestine Louvier, a fierce fusion of dance, fashion, and unapologetic self-expression rooted in my Dominican heritage.
From ballet slippers to Broadway dreams, I’m walking boldly in purpose and paving the way for others to do the same. Right now, I’m continuing to perform, create, and pour into the next generation of artists. I’m based in New York, still dancing professionally, and expanding Beyond Belief Dance Academy to reach more youth—especially those who don’t always see themselves represented in the arts.
EACS was where I first discovered the power of my voice—and my body—as an artist. Being part of the EA Dance Ensemble gave me the discipline, confidence, and foundation I needed to pursue dance seriously. EACS taught me how to push through challenges, show up with purpose, and lead with heart. It gave me the courage to take risks, speak up, and embrace all parts of who I am—something that’s carried me through college, professional dance, and even creating my own nonprofit and drag persona. It was more than just school—it was where the dream began.
Find what makes you feel alive and hold onto it. Whether it’s dance, music, art, or something else entirely—pour into it. And if you don’t see the space you need? Create it. Be loud. Be bold. Be your full self, even when it’s uncomfortable.
